Bollywood Hungama It was first reported a few days ago that the Hindi remake of Hollywood film The Intern will now be made with Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan. And today Deepika Padukone has stamped our news. After the 2015 superhit award-winning film Piku, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan will be seen sharing screen space once again in the Hindi remake of Hollywood film The Intern. The roles played by Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro in The Intern will be played by Deepika and Amitabh Bachchan in the Hindi remake.
Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan come together again
Once again, Deepika expressed her happiness on sharing the screen with Amitabh on social media. Announcing the Hindi remake of The Intern with Amitabh, Deepika wrote, “It’s an honor to work with my most special co-star again. I welcome Amitabh Bachchan for the Indian adaptation of #TheIntern.”
Talking about The Intern, Deepika had said, “The Intern is a film based on intimate and relationship that revolves around the workplace. I think this is a story that I find very relevant in today’s time and environment.”
Significantly, earlier the Hindi remake of The Intern was to be made with Deepika and Rishi Kapoor. But after the sad demise of Rishi Kapoor, now Amitabh Bachchan has been cast in his place.
Directed by Amit Sharma, the film will be produced under the production houses of Sunir Khetarpal and Deepika under Azure Entertainment and K Productions respectively.
