Vineet Kumar Singh’s Aadhar to release in theaters on February 5

The trailer of the much awaited movie, Aadhaar is out, starring Mukkabaaz actor Vineet Kumar Singh. Based on a social addiction, the film is all set to hit the theaters on February 5. Aadhar Jamua is based on the story of the first person from Jharkhand (essayed by Vineet) who has to get his Aadhaar number and is directed by Suman Ghosh, the award-winning filmmaker of the Bengali film “Podokkhep”.

Set in rural India, the film traces the introduction of the Aadhar card in India and the journey of the first person to whom it was introduced. The trailer unfolds with the villagers on the rumor that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is visiting their village. Their hopes are shattered when it is revealed that some government officials have come to introduce the Aadhaar card. Thus the story of the villagers is trying to understand how India became India with the technology and implementation of Aadhar card.

It is here that we meet Farsua (played by Vineet), a resident of Jamua village, who becomes the first person to receive an identity card. Despite this, the villagers are still of the opinion that the government will misuse their information to monitor them, and thus they show no interest in making their cards.

However, Farsua doesn’t lose hope and sets out on a journey to get the Aadhar number and all he does is the last detail. Veteran actors Raghubir Yadav, Saurabh Shukla and Sanjay Mishra will also be seen playing pivotal roles in this drug addict.

The film premiered at the 24th edition of Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in October 2019, followed by its screening at the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival in the same year.
