The actors always try their best to justify the needs of their on-screen characters and give their best. Such is the case with talent powerhouse, Nushrat Bharucha who is all set for her upcoming film Chhalaang. Nushrat Bharucha is playing the role of a teacher from Haryana in this film. Despite being from Mumbai, Nushrat Bharucha has worked really hard to give justice to the Haryanvi accent and she has definitely lived up to it.
Nushrat Bharucha did justice to her Haryanvi character
Talking about her preparations, Nushrat revealed, “Everyone in the film already knew Haryanvi- either they were from there or they lived there, so everyone caught that accent. I was the only person who grew up entirely in Mumbai. I didn’t even know where to start with the Haryanvi accent, so I didn’t know how to work on myself and I didn’t want myself to feel out of line because of this. So wanted to give my best.”
Asked how Rajkummar Rao helped her with this, Nusrat further revealed, “Raj not only helped me with my Haryanvi accent during the shots, he was the person who took my first workshop on Haryanvi pronunciation coaching . Before joining the team to coach, I did readings with Raj, where he not only taught me pronunciation, but also helped me understand gestures correctly. So it was Raj who first trained me and then I had a diction teacher who was present on the sets and did everything for me.”
For the first time in Chhalaang, Nushrat will be seen in a completely different avatar. Nushrat has given complete justice to her character ‘Neelu’ with a glimpse of her look in the trailer. Undoubtedly, this look of the actress has won the hearts of the audience and everyone is eagerly waiting to see her on screen.
Apart from Chhalaang, Nushrat will soon be seen in Hudang opposite Sunny Kaushal and Vijay Varma.
