Filmmakers Ajay Kapoor and Subhash Kale announced their upcoming big budget film Garuda, which is inspired by true events of the Afghan rescue crisis. The film is jointly produced by Ajay Kapoor Productions and Vikrant Studios. Releasing a teaser motion poster, the team gave a glimpse of the patriotic film. Inspired by real events, Garuda presents a fictionalized depiction of a rescue mission in Afghanistan, based on the story of an officer of the Garuda Commando Force, a special forces unit of the Indian Air Force.

After being associated with films like Atomic (2018), Romeo Akbar Walter (2019) as well as Baby (2015) and Airlift (2016), Ajay Kapoor will be working on new projects with Subhash Kale in his upcoming films Attack and Garuda. ready to work on. Apart from this, Ajay Kapoor and Subhash have also worked together in Kale Roy (2015) and All Is Well (2015).
Ajay Kapoor shared, “Subhash and I have been working together for a long time and have been friends for years, when he approached me for Garuda, I was really hooked to the script and immediately joined the project . The film depicts an inspirational, patriotic story with a strong emotional connect. We are looking forward to take the story forward in a big way to give due justice to the script.”
Subhash Kale shared, “Garuda is a very special project for me, I have been working on developing such a script for a long time and I am glad that the film is finally coming true with a brilliant producer like Ajay Kapoor. Is. This is a special project for me and I want to give it the best possible treatment, we are aiming to give the film an international look by taking inspiration from real life incidents.”
Giving an insight into the film, the motion poster features the theme song ‘Mera Bharat Hai Mahan’ composed by Ravi Basrur, who has also composed the film’s background score.
The makers will soon announce the cast and director. Produced by Ajay Kapoor and Subhash Kale under the banner of Ajay Kapoor Productions and Vikrant Studios, written by the writer of Mission Mangal Nidhi Singh Dharma, Garuda is slated to release in cinemas on 15 August 2022.
