However, Sushant’s family lawyer Vikas Singh will challenge the decision against Priyanka Singh in the Supreme Court.

No relief for Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka

Delivering the verdict, the Division Bench of Justice Shinde and Justice MS Karnik said, “This judgment shall not be an impediment to the investigation and submission of report by the investigating officers.” Reacting to the court’s decision, Riya’s lawyer Satish Manshinde tweeted, “We agree with the verdict. Looks like finally Rhea Chakraborty’s voice for justice and truth has been heard. Satyameva Jayate .”

Let us tell you that Riya had filed a case against Priyanka and Meetu, sisters of late actor Sushant on 7 September 2020 at Bandra Police Station. In her complaint, Riya had accused Sushant’s sisters Priyanka Singh and Mitu Singh of getting a fake prescription written for Sushant in consultation with Delhi-based doctor Tarun Kumar. Riya had alleged that Sushant’s sisters, along with some doctors, made fake prescriptions of banned drugs and without any supervision, gave Sushant the wrong dosage of these medicines, due to which the actor had a chronic anxiety attack and he committed suicide. took .

Sushant’s sisters approach Bombay High Court

After this case filed by Riya, the sisters of Sushant had approached the Bombay High Court and they demanded the quashing of Riya’s FIR. Vikas Singh, the lawyer of Sushant’s sisters, had said in the petition that Riya Chakraborty’s complaint is baseless and strict action should be taken against her. He had also said that Riya has filed the FIR only to divert attention from the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

CBI is probing the matter

Let us tell you that on June 14, 2020, Sushant was found dead in his flat in Mumbai. In the postmortem reports, Sushant’s death was said to be a suicide but his fans and family did not agree to consider it a suicide, so the investigation of the matter was handed over to the CBI. The CBI searched many angles in its investigation, out of which one angle of drugs also came to light, after which Riya Chakraborty was also taken into judicial custody for providing drugs to Sushant. The CBI is probing the matter and has not reached any conclusion yet. Investigating agencies do not want to leave any angle in the investigation of this case, so its decision is taking time.
