Sonu Sood accused of tax evasion of more than Rs 20 crore, IT department found objectionable evidence related to tax evasion during search

Actor Sonu Sood, who selflessly helps the needy people during the Corona epidemic, seems to be in trouble. The Income Tax Department’s survey operation is going on for the last three days at Sonu Sood’s house, in which a new twist has come. According to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) after raids by the Income Tax Department, a case of tax evasion of more than Rs 20 crore has come to light against the actor.

Actually, Sonu has been accused of tax evasion in a land deal, due to which the Income Tax Department is conducting a survey on many places related to him. It is being said that the IT department after searches at the places related to Sonu, tax evasion of Rs 20 crore, illegal foreign donation of Rs 2.1 crore, fraudulent transactions of Rs 65 crore, circulars worth Rs 175 crore with a Jaipur based infra firm Transaction claimed.

According to reports, during the search of the premises of the actor and his associates, incriminating evidence related to tax evasion has been found, according to the CBDT. The CBDT said that the actor had deposited unaccounted money in the form of bogus and unsecured loans from bogus entities. The IT department conducted a total search operation at 28 places related to Sonu including Mumbai, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jaipur, Delhi and Gurugram.

It is alleged by IT officials that Sonu had deposited unaccounted money in the form of bogus and unsecured loans from several fake entities. The IT department says Sonu Charity Foundation, which is an NGO, was established by the actor in July 2020. According to the IT Department, the NGO has received a donation of 18.94 crores since April 1, 2021.
