Rishi Kapoor’s birthday, his last film Sharmaji Namkeen may be released in theaters on 4th September

Late actor Rishi Kapoor’s last film Sharmaji Namkeen is slated for a 2021 theatrical release. As the shooting of the film is yet to take place, but the makers are trying to present the last film of the veteran actor by giving fans and tributes to the actor on his birthday on September 4 this year.

Turning this into reality, Paresh Rawal has agreed to complete the remainder of the film in the same role – a sensitive move that has not been seen in Hindi cinema yet. The filmmakers and Paresh Rawal have decided to release the film as a mark of respect to Rishi.

It will be Rishi Kapoor’s last performance and a celebration of his incomparable talent and career for all his fans. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar in association with McGuffin Pictures, the film is directed by debutant Hitesh Bhatia. The film is a light-hearted film based on a lovely 60 year old man. With a 2021 release planned, the makers and team of Sharmaji Namkeen are all set to resume shooting soon.
