But now it is reported that his son died not because of illness but due to accident. Recently, Rajiv Nigam told in an interview that he was struggling a lot for his son for the last two and a half years and during this time he did not get any help from the entertainment industry except Manish Paul. Manish Paul continuously supported Rajiv Nigam.

Rajeev Nigam further said, “For the last two and a half years, I have faced a lot of financial constraints. On one hand he could not work and on the other hand his son’s treatment. To be honest, it is a matter of regret that no one from our industry came forward to help me in this bad phase except Manish Paul. Manish helped me a lot, not only with money but also got a lot of support from him mentally. Apart from these, no one even asked me if you need any kind of help? Many artists who worked with me earned a lot of money, earned a lot of name but no one came forward to help. I will regret this for the rest of my life.”
