Sameer Wankhede has been accused of bribery of Rs 8 crore in Aryan Khan drugs case. The responsibility of investigating this matter has been entrusted to Delhi NCB. Delhi NCB team will investigate 5 other cases along with Aryan Khan drugs case.
Sameer Wankhede withdraws from investigation of Aryan Khan related drugs case
If reports are to be believed, Sameer Wankhede has also given his side on this entire action. In his eyes, he himself had asked to recuse himself from the drugs case. Sameer Wankhede says that he himself had filed a petition in the High Court demanding investigation of the allegations against him by a central agency like CBI or NIA. Based on the same, a SIT has been formed under the leadership of a senior senior officer of Delhi, which will now also investigate the Aryan Khan case and Samir Khan, son-in-law of NCP leader Nawab Malik. Sameer says that he has not been removed from anywhere but he is at his place.
It is worth noting that in the Mumbai cruise drugs case, Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha along with others were detained by the NCB on the night of 2 October and arrested the very next day. Later, Nawab Malik has accused NCB officer Sameer Wankhede of recovery along with many charges regarding this matter. The Vigilance team of NCB is also investigating in this regard.
