The pace of the country has come to a standstill due to Corona virus. The film industry is also no exception to this. Although the shooting of films and TV shows has been allowed with strict guidelines, the shooting of many films is yet to start. One of these is Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan sci-fi thriller film Brahmastra. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra was scheduled to release in December this year but due to the Corona lockdown, its shooting remained incomplete for a few days. Due to which now its release can also be postponed. Producer Karan Johar is planning to release his film next year i.e. in June 2021.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra was scheduled to release in December this year
Although the shooting of Brahmastra starring Ranbir and Alia has been completed to a large extent, but only 26 days of shooting were left when the nationwide lockdown was declared and the shooting of the film remained incomplete. And now director Ayan Mukerji is planning to start shooting again from October at Filmcity in Mumbai.
According to a report published in a newspaper, Ayan Mukerji will start work in two shifts – from 9 am to 2 pm, then from 4 pm to 9 pm. During this the film crew for both the shifts will be in small numbers and will also be separate from the security point of view. If everything remains under control, the makers will start shooting for the film from October and will complete it by December 2020.
Currently, under the shooting guidelines, actors above 65 years of age are not allowed to shoot. So the makers of Brahmastra are hopeful that perhaps this rule will be changed by October as some portions of Amitabh Bachchan are yet to be shot.
However, Dharma Productions and director Ayan Mukerji are yet to confirm the news of Brahmastra being postponed.
