Telegram is quite famous for pirated content, but it is not common for a movie to leak four days before its scheduled release. Reportedly, the production houses are trying to take corrective steps and block the film on a platform that indulges in piracy.

The story of a surrogate mother will be shown in Mimi. Kriti had increased her weight by 15 kilograms for Mimi. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Mimi is inspired by the National Award winning Marathi film Mala I Whychanya. Apart from Kriti, Supriya Pathak and Pankaj Tripathi will also be seen in important roles in the film Mimi.
