Distributed by Zee International, Empty Yellow released on limited screens in the United States, Singapore, Netherlands, Austria, Fiji, Africa, Mauritius and New Zealand. In the United States, Khaali Peeli earned US$ 2,421 (Rs 1.78 lakh) in its first weekend across 14 screens. At the New Zealand box office, the film earned 2,477 New Zealand dollars i.e. Rs 1.21 lakh in the first weekend across 7 screens.

Looking at the overseas box office collection, it seems that even there people have kept distance from theaters in view of the corona epidemic.
