In Ram Madhvani’s directorial Dhamaka, which is a Hindi remake of a Korean film, Kartik Aaryan plays the role of Arjun Pathak, a news anchor who gets caught in a bad situation after learning about a mysterious bomb blast. Kartik Aaryan had set a new record by shooting his upcoming film Dhamaka in the shortest number of days. Fans are eagerly waiting for Kartik’s blast. Although it has already been cleared that Dhamaka Direct will release on Netflix but its fixed release date has not been revealed yet. So now Bollywood Hungama has got the latest exclusive update regarding the release of Dhamaka.
Kartik Aaryan’s Dhamaka will release in October
A source close to the industry told Bollywood Hungama, “Looking at the current situation, most of the films are resorting to OTT platform for release. Especially when the theaters are completely closed and wherever they are open, the audience is not reaching the number they used to reach. That’s why the makers are releasing their film’s release directly on the OTT platform. And one of them is Kartik’s Dhamaka, which will release on Netflix.
When we asked the source whether there is speculation that Dhamaka might release in October, the source said, “Yes, Netflix plans to release Dhamaka in October this year. October is because it is the festive season, Navratri-Dussehra etc. Just like theatres, the digital platform giant Netflix is also preferring the festive season to release the film so that it can get maximum viewership.”
However, its official announcement is yet to be done. Dhamaka is the Hindi remake of the 2013 South Korean film The Terror Live. The story of the film revolves around a journalist who is demoted. He then takes on the risky assignment of interviewing a terrorist. He later realizes how much trouble he has got into.
Directed by Ram Madhvani, Dhamaka is produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies and Ram Madhvani Films in association with Loot Cultureworks, Globalgate Entertainment and Lionsgate.
