The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) started its investigation in the drugs case expeditiously after the drugs angle came to the fore in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. NCB is fast moving towards cracking the drug chain of Bollywood which is active in the industry for a long time. While Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor are being questioned in the NCB drugs case, Rakul Preet Singh has been questioned. Apart from this, Dharma Productions executive producer Kshitij Prasad has been taken into custody by NCB in the drugs case. After Kshitij was taken into custody, Karan Johar, the head of Dharma Productions, issued a statement clarifying the drug case. Karan Johar has issued an official statement saying that he does not take drugs.
Karan Johar clarified on all the rumours
New revelations are being made one after the other during the investigation of the drugs case released by NCB in Bollywood. In view of this, a party of Karan is also coming in the discussion again. In view of all this, Karan has officially made a statement saying, “I neither take drugs nor promote it. He said that false news is being spread that drugs were used in the party held on July 28, 2019 at my house. Whereas I had said in the year 2019 itself that all these allegations are false.
Also clarified on Kshitij Prasad and Anubhav Chopra
Regarding Kshitij Prasad and Anubhav Chopra who came under NCB’s radar in drugs case, Karan also said, “Many media/news channels are circulating news reports that Kshitij Prasad and Anubhav Chopra are my ‘associates’/’close associates’. Huh . I would like to make one thing clear that I do not know these persons personally and neither of them is my ‘assistant’ or ‘close associate’. Both are not executives of Dharma Productions. Kshitij was on contract in November 2019. Anubhav had worked with Dharma Productions for just two months.”
Allegations of using drugs in the party are fake
Apart from this, he is also being targeted for a party of Karan, about which Karan said that, “This false news is being run on some news channels, print and electronics media and social media platforms that Karan has made a statement on 28 July. Drugs were consumed in the party which was given at his house in 2019. I made it clear in 2019 itself that these allegations are fake. In view of this campaign being run again, I again say that these allegations are baseless and false. No drugs were consumed in that party.”
