EXCLUSIVE SCOOP: Amitabh Bachchan charges Rs 21 crore for Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s mega-budget science fiction film

Bollywood Hungama is the first to tell you that Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in a special role in Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s mega-budget science-fiction film. In this action thriller film by director Nag Ashwin, Amitabh Bachchan will not be seen in a cameo role but in a full-fledged role. And now we have exclusively come to know that Amitabh Bachchan is charging a hefty fee to work in this film.

“Amitabh charges a hefty fee to work in South films and this Prabhas starrer was no different. Amitabh’s character in the film will also be as important as Prabhas. Not only this, many of his action scenes will also be seen in the film. Amitabh has charged Rs 21 crore from the makers for being such an important part of the film”, the source told Bollywood Hungama. The source further added that, the makers did not want to lose such a big star of Hindi cinema with their film, so they agreed to the fees demanded by them without any bargaining. The film is expected to start from next year.

Talking about Amitabh’s other films, soon he will also be seen playing a special role in Brahmastra alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. Apart from this, he will also be seen playing the lead role in MayDay alongside Ajay Devgan.

Apart from this, he is also working on Deadly with Vikas Bahl. The film is being produced by Balaji Motion Pictures. “Mr Bachchan sets his fees according to the script. The bigger the film, the higher will be their fees. The reason for this way of charging his fees is because he always wants to make sure that small budget films don’t get overbudgeted because of their fees.” A trade source told Bollywood Hungama.
