In the 90s and early 2000s, filmmaker David Dhawan gave Hindi cinema many of the best comedy genre films such as Hero No. 1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Judwaa, Coolie No. 1, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Biwi No. 1 etc. These films left such an impression on the hearts of the audience that even after so many years, these films are one of the favorite films of the people. Seeing all this, David Dhawan remade two of his classic hits with his son Varun Dhawan, one Judwaa and the other Coolie No. Coolie No 1 was recently released on Direct Amazon Prime Video. And now news is coming that David Dhawan is now planning to remake his another classic film Biwi No. David Dhawan spoke openly about this in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama.
David Dhawan is not making any remake yet
In this trend of remakes of old films, when asked David Dhawan if he is planning to remake Salman and Karisma Kapoor’s Biwi No. To this David Dhawan said, “This film is on my mind, but not currently making it. It is too early to say anything about this now. I need some rest now. These kids are doing their job now and my wife needs me, more than anyone, for some time. Chances are we’ll come up with some fresh films now. But only time will tell what will happen. Once the theaters are back to normal then something will happen. Now I want to make a fresh film. Maybe a short film. Let’s see what happens .”
Talking about Biwi No 1, Salman, Karisma Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, Tabu and Anil Kapoor were seen in this film released in 1999. This comedy drama was produced by Vashu Bhagnani while it was directed by David Dhawan.
