The sudden demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput left everyone in shock. Very talented actor Sushant committed suicide on June 14 in his Mumbai flat. But his fans, family members and friends were not ready to accept it as suicide. According to him, the actor was murdered, so there was constant pressure to set up a CBI to investigate the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case. As a result, the Supreme Court handed over the investigation of the case to the CBI. It was said that the CBI made one thing clear in its investigation that it was not a murder but a suicide. After this, the CBI started the investigation of this case in view of the facts like abetment to suicide. While everyone is eagerly waiting for the final decision of the CBI in the Sushant case, till now the CBI has not given its verdict in this case.
CBI engaged in the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput case
When the drugs angle came to the fore in front of the CBI probing the Sushant case, after that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) also joined the investigation of this case. The NCB has interrogated Sushant’s alleged girlfriend Riya Chakraborty on charges of providing drugs and also kept him in judicial custody. Although now Riya Chakraborty has been released on conditional bail in the drugs case, her Shovik Chakraborty is still in jail. Apart from this, the CBI also had some doubts on the transaction of money in the Sushant case, for this the ED i.e. Enforcement Directorate was also associated with this case, but the ED did not find anything objectionable in the transaction of money in this case.
With the commencement of the NCB investigation in the Sushant case, the course of this case completely changed. The names of many Bollywood celebrities came before the NCB in the drugs case, who were also interrogated by the NCB. Because of this, the entire focus shifted from the Sushant case to the drugs case.
On December 5, it will be four months since the CBI took over the Sushant case. But the CBI has not yet completed the investigation of this case. Everyone wants to know what the CBI has done in this case. So I have put 3 questions before CBI using my Right to Information (RTI) –
1. How far did the investigation reach in the Sushant Singh Rajput case?
2. Is it true that CBI has declared Sushant Singh Rajput case as suicide and not murder?
3. When will the CBI organize a press conference and tell what was their last decision in the Sushant case?
In response to these questions, the CBI said so much that the investigation of the Sushant case is still going on. CBI said,
“The information sought pertains to the matter which is still under investigation and disclosure of such information would impede the process of investigation, as such exemption can be claimed under section 8(1)(h) of the RTI Act 2005.” Has gone .” Section 8(1)(h) allows a public authority to withdraw information, the disclosure of which would impede the process of an investigation or the apprehension or prosecution of offenders.
Not only Sushant’s fans but media, industry and even political personalities are waiting for CBI’s decision. We expect the agency to give a decision on this soon.
