Producer Madhu Mantena is soon preparing to make a big-scale film on Ramayana. The film will be a big budget 3D film. It is being said that this film will be more grand and different than all the films made on Ramayana so far. Deepika Padukone is being signed to play Sita Mata in Madhu Mantena’s big budget 3D Ramayan film. At the same time, actor Hrithik Roshan has been roped in for the role of Raavan. But till now the actor who played the character of Lord Ram for this film has not been selected.

Initially, the makers were looking at Prabhas in the role of Ram, but then it could not be possible. And now the makers are looking for a strong actor with Deepika Padukone to play the character of Lord Ram. While the makers were planning the big-scale Ramayana, director Om Raut announced his epic drama Aadipurush in which Prabhas got the role of Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh i.e. Ravana. Kriti Sanon will be seen in the role of Sita opposite Prabhas in Aadipurush and now the shooting of the film has also started.

A close source told us, “When Aadipurush was announced with Prabhas, Madhu Mantena was very surprised as he was seeing Prabhas as Ram in his film. After this he immediately hired his team for his 3D Ramayana and started work on the film in collaboration with the financiers. Madhu signed Hrithik Roshan for the role of Ravana without delay. Now in Madhu’s film, Deepika will be seen in the role of Sita and Hrithik will be seen in the role of Ravana. And now they are looking for a big South actor to play Lord Ram.

Mahesh Babu liked the script

Madhu’s search ended with the biggest Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. Regarding this, the source said, “Without wasting time Madhu offered the character of Lord Ram in his 3D Ramayana film to Mahesh Babu. Mahesh Babu has really liked the script. Madhu feels that Mahesh Babu’s innocence will go a long way in bringing the character of Shri Ram to the screen. Although Mahesh has also liked the script a lot but he has not said yes to it yet. Madhu will also find it easier to cast Mahesh Babu in his film because he has a connection with the KWAAN agency that handles the three big stars.”

Interestingly, Deepika is going to be the actress who will be seen as Draupadi and Sita in two big epic drama films.
