Finally Karan Johar has announced his upcoming love story based film. Karan today made the official announcement of his upcoming film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki love story with his favorite Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. It is a family entertainer film in which Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi will also be seen in the lead roles.

A full 5 years after his hit film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Karan Johar will once again take up the reins of direction with the love story of Rocky and Rani. While Ranveer will be seen opposite each other as Rocky and Alia will be seen as Rani in the love story of Rocky and Rani, Jaya Bachchan will play Ranveer’s grandmother in the film and Dharmendra will be seen in the role of grandfather. Shabana Azmi will be seen in the role of Alia’s grandmother.
A close source told Bollywood Hungama that the shooting of Rocky and Rani’s love story is likely to start in the month of September and will be wrapped up in a schedule of 5-6 months. Karan Johar is directing a film after 5 years.

Directed by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, is the studio partner of Viacom 18, the love story of Rocky and Rani. The story and screenplay of the film is written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy, with dialogues by Ishita Moitra. This film will release in 2022.
