BMC accuses Sonu Sood
However, the police has not registered any FIR against Sonu in this case yet. The BMC had complained to the Juhu police in this matter on January 4. It was told in this complaint that Sonu had converted Shakti Sagar Building, which is a residential building, into a hotel without taking permission. BMC has requested the police to take action against Sonu under the Maharashtra Region and Town Planning (MRTP) Act.
It is being said that BMC had earlier issued a notice to Sonu regarding illegal construction. Sonu had also reached the civil court against this notice but he did not get any relief from there.
However, Sonu says in this matter that he had sought user change permission from BMC. He is waiting for the clearance from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA). Due to Kovid-19, permission has not been received from the Coastal Zone Authority. Sonu denied any irregularities.
