Aryan Khan, lodged in Arthur Road Jail in the drug case, could not get bail even today. Aryan Khan’s bail plea, arrested in the high profile Cruise Drugs Party case, was heard in the Bombay High Court today. In the court, former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi presented arguments in favor of Aryan to get him bail, while NCB strongly opposed Aryan’s bail. After which the court reserved the decision till tomorrow. Now the hearing of this case will continue on Wednesday as well.
Aryan Khan did not get bail
Aryan’s bail hearing is over today. The bail application will be heard again in the Bombay High Court at 2.30 pm on Wednesday. It is expected that tomorrow the court will give its verdict on Aryan’s bail. The hearing began at around 4.15 pm in the Bombay High Court. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for Aryan Khan, submitted that no drugs have been recovered from him. Aryan’s lawyer Mukul Rohatgi argued in the court that Aryan has returned to India during Kovid. He was studying in California.
Aryan was not a customer. Aryan was the special guest at the cruise party. Pradeep Gaba had invited Aryan to the party. Pradeep Gawa was the event manager. Aryan and Arbaaz were called. Apart from this, Rohatgi also said that the chat cited by NCB is from 2018-19, which has nothing to do with the cruise drugs party case. That chat happened when Aryan was abroad.
NCB opposes bail
Just before this, the NCB opposed Aryan’s bail plea by filing an affidavit in the court. The agency said that he (Aryan) not only used to take drugs but was also involved in its illegal smuggling.
Speaking on behalf of Aryan, Mukul Rohatgi said that till date there is no case against me for use, possession, purchase or sale of drugs. You can see the Panchnama filed by me. I have no relation with any controversy going on TV, social media or anywhere else. I have nothing against any NCB official.
Along with this, advocate Mukul Rohatgi also said in Aryan’s favor that Aryan’s WhatsApp chats of 2018, 2019 and 2020 have nothing to do with the Cruise case in any way. The cruise affair started with Prateek Gaba and ended there.
