Amazon Prime Video has today released the official trailer of Amazon Original’s new series Lol – Hasee Toh Phane. This local edition of the international Amazon Original series LOL will see a group of comedians who have left a deep mark on the comedy scene in India. Aadar Malik, Akash Gupta, Aditi Mittal, Ankita Srivastava, Cyrus Brocha, Gaurav Gera, Kusha Kapila, Mallika Dua, Sunil Grover and Suresh Menon will be seen facing a tough challenge here under the vigil of hosts Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani.

Perhaps for the first time ever, not only will his humor be tested here, but his endurance will also be tested as he battles for six hours in a row, where he himself will be seen making poker faces and laughing at others in the house. The goal should be to be the last person in the room to laugh and the person who can keep a straight face for the longest time will ultimately win the game. Prime members in India and in 240 countries and territories can watch the show exclusively on Amazon Prime Video starting April 30, 2021.

As soon as I entered the show and found out who else was with me on the battlefield, I thought – “Stuck!” lol – laughed it was a daunting experience. It’s not just a show… it’s a unique human experiment. Imagine being with 10 hilarious professional comedians, all under one roof, with their A-game. And you can’t even smile! All I can say is – it was not easy, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and the audience will also love it when they see it.

Lol – I thoroughly enjoyed myself in Hasee Toh Phasee and I am sure the audience will too! I won’t lie, I was very scared in the beginning. I thought I would be scared and I would freeze but the amount of fun I had was crazy. The show was so challenging, you basically have to make the other comedians laugh, without laughing yourself! You have to be on high-alert all the time so as not to give even the slightest smile. It’s a high-pressure high-fun comedy battleground and it’s unlike anything I’ve done before. It is not like a scripted shoot, it is neither standup nor is it theatre! It’s crazy. I am thrilled that this format has finally arrived in India.
