Alia Bhatt, the lead actress of female-centric film Darlings, will debut as a producer with her own film, this star cast associated with Darlings

Darlings is a unique story of a mother-daughter duo who go through thrilling situations in an attempt to make their place in the world. This dark comedy set in Mumbai from a conservative lower middle-class backdrop depicts the journey of these two women. The darlings summed up in an amusing way, ‘Insulting women can be injurious to your health!’ So be careful now! With this film Jasmeet Reen marks her first foray into the world of feature film direction and Alia Bhatt marks her debut as a producer with her company, Eternal Sunshine Productions.

Jasmeet who has written several films says about the darlings, “Alia and Shefali are an amazing mother-daughter duo and with the talented Vijay (Verma) and Roshan (Matthew) we have got a dream cast and perfect partners. Now I am eagerly waiting for the shooting to start.”

Written by Parvez Shaikh and Jasmeet, Darlings is being produced by Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt and Gaurav Verma. It is a presentation by Red Chillies Entertainment and Eternal Sunshine Productions, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. The shooting of the film will start from this month.
