Ajay Devgan, who gave the biggest hit film Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior of the year 2020, was seen in the digital release Bhuj – The Pride of India last year. Apart from this, he also appeared in a special role in Akshay Kumar starrer blockbuster film Suryavanshi. Now his fans are eagerly waiting for Ajay Devgan’s next film. Ajay’s 5 films were to be released in the year 2022, with the first coming RRR, but due to the increasing threat of Corona, the release date of the film was postponed. After this, all eyes are now on his next films Gangubai Kathiawadi, Runway 34, Maidan and Thank God.
Ajay Devgan and Sidharth Malhotra’s Thank God
Thank God will be Ajay’s only comedy film this year whose shooting has been wrapped up recently. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “There was only a small portion of Ajay left to be shot which is now done. The actor shot for his remaining part on Monday, January 3, 2022 in Mumbai and with this the shooting of the film is now complete.”
Along with Ajay, Siddharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh will also be seen in pivotal roles in Thank God, being directed by Inder Kumar. Bollywood Hungama had exclusively reported last year about the film’s storyline that, in Thank God, Ajay will be seen playing the role of Yamraj, the god of death. Her character will bring fun to the film along with Sidharth Malhotra, who dies of an unfortunate death at a young age. The comedy in the film stems from the interactions between Ajay and Siddharth in the world of fantasy.
‘Manike Mage Hithe’ Bollywood debut of Singer Yohani
Thank God came into limelight in the recent past when Sri Lankan singer-rapper Yohani, who became popular with ‘Manike Mage Hithe’, was given a chance to sing in Thank God. Yohani will be singing the Hindi version of ‘Manike Mage Hithe’ in Ajay and Sidharth Malhotra’s Thank God.
The source further added, “The post-production of Thank God is going on at a brisk pace. The film is to be released in theaters on 29 July 2022. But in view of the growing crisis of Corona, the release dates of all the films to be released in January have been postponed. This will also affect the upcoming films. Whether Thank God is able to release in theaters on July 29, only time will tell.
Further, the source said, “The makers are happy that the shooting of their film has been completed. Because the situation of lockdown is being created due to the increasing crisis of Corona, in such a situation the shooting could also have been banned. But now the makers of Thank God are not worried as the shooting of their film is over. Now they can easily concentrate on the post production of the film.”
