The makers were supposed to start shooting for Thank God from mid-April after the Lucknow schedule of Sidharth Malhotra’s Mission Majnu got over. But then the second wave of Corona pandemic wreaked havoc in India, due to which the shooting of the films was put on brake. Due to all this, the makers of Thank God had to suffer a loss of about Rs 2 crore.

A source close to the news told Bollywood Hungama, “A huge set was erected in Mumbai’s Film City for Ajay, Siddharth and Rakul’s film Thank God. But after this, the Maharashtra government imposed restrictions to prevent the spread of corona infection, due to which the makers had to stop the shooting. The makers had two options, either to rent a large set of the film on a per day basis or to destroy it because the Corona restrictions had no idea how long it would last. The makers chose the second option and destroyed the set of the film, due to which the makers had to suffer a loss of around Rs 2 crore.

Directed by Indra Kumar, Thank God will be produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Sunil Khetrapal, Anand Pandit, Deepak Mukut and Makrand Adhikari.
