Aftab Shivdasani’s thrilling entry in Kay Kay Menon starrer spy thriller web series Special Ops 1.5

Neeraj Pandey and Friday Storytellers have signed Aftab Shivdasani for their hit web series Special Ops 1.5…The Himmat Story. It is the next installment in the Special Ops Universe after his show Special Ops, which released on Disney Hotstar last year and turned out to be a super hit. Aftab Shivdasani joins Special Ops 1.5

An excited Aftab, who has been an ardent fan of the first installment, shared, “Working with a filmmaker like Neeraj Pandey under his banner Friday Storytellers is a big deal for me. Thrilled to be a part of the Special Ops Universe, a show that I thoroughly enjoyed as a viewer and am now experiencing as a member of its cast.”

Neeraj Pandey says, “We are extremely happy to add Aftab Shivdasani to Friday Storytellers. He is an exciting addition to the Special Ops 1.5 ensemble and we look forward to working with him.”

The overwhelming response from the audience and his interest in the character of Himmat Singh has inspired the makers to start the journey of 1.5. Neeraj Pandey and his team have started with a unique Special Ops 1.5; Which is neither a prequel nor a sequel and will show the audience the backstory of the main protagonist Himmat Singh. The series will begin with Himmat Singh being handed over another case, but the deflection point is the Parliament attack that started the chain of events.

The first season of Special Ops was launched in March 2020. Apart from Kay Kay Menon, the series also starred Saiyami Kher, Sharad Kelkar, Karan Takkar, Muzammil Ibrahim, Sana Khan, Meher Vij, Divya Dutta, Vinay Pathak and Vipul Gupta among others.

The shooting of Special Ops 1.5 has begun and now, we can’t wait to see Aftab Shivdasani and Kay Kay Menon among others in this ensemble cast.
