Recognizing the remarkable work done by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao’s ‘Pani Foundation’ in water conservation, the Ministry of Jal Shakti has lauded the efforts of the NGO on its official social media handle. The ministry’s social media account read, “Today we are celebrating Paani Foundation, which was founded by renowned actor Mr. Aamir Khan and his wife Mrs. Kiran Rao. This NGO is transforming the regions of Maharashtra from drought to prosperity. ‘Satyamev Jayate Water Cup’ was a commendable initiative by the NGO. #CelebratingNGO”

Addressing this recognition and encouraging words, superstar Aamir has shared a heartfelt note on his social media handle, in which the actor thanked Mantralaya. Aamir writes, “Kiran and I would like to thank the Ministry of Jal Shakti, on behalf of each and every member of the Paani Foundation, for acknowledging our efforts. Thank you for highlighting the people’s movement against drought in Maharashtra. This would not have been possible without the support of our donors and every Maharashtrian who has been a part of this journey. Your kind words have filled us with hope and strength. We continue to be consistent in our efforts and feel overwhelmed to be working with thousands of Jal Diamonds in Maharashtra. Thank you”

Aamir has raised awareness for the conservation of water through his foundation. He is doing his best for the “Pani Foundation” mission to make Maharashtra drought free. This foundation works towards water conservation and watershed management in the villages of Maharashtra.

The superstar is currently busy with his much-awaited upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha, which will also see Kareena Kapoor Khan opposite him and will release in Christmas 2021.
