Ranveer Singh starrer film 83 directed by Kabir Khan was released in theaters on the occasion of Christmas i.e. on 24th December. The wait for 83, which has been stuck for its release since the last one and a half years, proved to be sweet. Because the audience including the critics are also giving their full love to the film. 83 earned Rs 17.41 crore on the third day on Sunday, Rs 16.95 crore on Saturday and Rs 12.64 crore on Friday, earning a total of Rs 47 crore in the first weekend. The box office collection of the film did not live up to the expectations considering the promotions of the film. But in the coming days, the business of the film is expected to increase.
In the year 2021, Ranveer’s 83rd film became the second highest grossing film on the opening weekend. Earlier, Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi earned Rs 77.08 crore on its opening weekend.
