Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s ‘Force’, starring John Abraham and Genelia D’Souza and directed by late filmmaker Nishikant Kamat, completed a glorious 10 years on 30 September this year. With this film, action supremo, Vidyut Jammwal on the Bollywood Horizon made his debut and was his first collaboration with a lead producer. With Force, the producer and actor started a wonderful work association.
For the first time, audiences, especially John Abraham fans, were treated to a different level of action, combined with the combat prowess of the macho star opposite Vidyut Jammwal, the lead antagonist launched by Shah. The film became a huge hit and Vidyut was labeled as the new action star of Bollywood.
As a result of the ten-year-old action film, the producer-actor duo teamed up again for ‘Commando’ (2013), which went on to become a successful franchise with Commando 2 (2017) and Commando 3 (2019).
Keeping up with the stupendous successes of the producer-actor duo, all eyes are now on their fifth collaboration Sunak – Hope Under Siege, a hostess drama releasing on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra on 15 October. Directed by Kanishk Verma, ‘Sanak’ stars Vidyut alongside Chandan Roy Sanyal, Neha Dhupia and Rukmini Maitra (who is making her Bollywood debut) in the central role.
Ever since the makers launched the interesting posters of the Vidyut starrer, it has created tremendous excitement among the audience, especially all the fans of the action star.
Talking about the film completing a decade, Vipul Shah says, “Force was a special film as I was working with John and Genelia for the first time and we introduced Vidyut as a negative character in the film. did. But when we were launching him as a villain, we always knew he was going to be a hero and we would make the next film with him as a hero and thus ‘Commando’ was born.
John and Vidyut’s action and bare body fight in the climax is still a hair-raising experience for me. This is one of the best scenes I have ever seen in Indian cinema. The amazing chemistry of Genelia and John and the love story woven into the action film was so spectacular that it took everyone’s breath away. So in every sense of it, John, Genelia and Vidyut made a wonderful trio that made ‘Force’ a special film.”
Sunshine Pictures Pvt Ltd directed by Vipul Shah has taken the audience to some interesting cinema. Produced in association with Zee Studios, his production Sunak – Hope Under Siege is all set to bring an emotional journey with action packed sequences.
Sunak – Hope Under Siege is presented by Zee Studios in association with Sunshine Pictures Pvt Ltd and will stream only on Disney+ Hotstar Multiplex from October 15. It is a Vipul Amrutlal Shah production film directed by Kanishk Verma.
